1.1 Eligibility of Minor Passengers

CallMeDD Inc. may provide transportation services to passengers under the age of sixteen (16) ("Minors") only where prior written consent has been provided by the Minor’s parent or legal guardian and accepted by CallMeDD Inc.

No services shall be provided to a Minor without an active consent form on file.

1.2 Parental / Guardian Consent Requirement

By enrolling a Minor for transportation services, the parent or legal guardian represents and warrants that:

  • They are the lawful parent or guardian of the Minor;

  • They have full legal authority to consent to transportation services on the Minor’s behalf; and

  • All information provided to CallMeDD Inc. is accurate and up to date.

Consent must be renewed annually or at the start of each school term, whichever occurs first.

1.3 Assumption of Risk & Release of Liability (Minors)

The parent or legal guardian, on behalf of themselves and the Minor, acknowledges that transportation services involve inherent risks, including but not limited to traffic conditions, weather, and actions of third parties.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the parent or legal guardian agrees to release, indemnify, and hold harmless CallMeDD Inc., its directors, officers, employees, contractors, and drivers from any claims, losses, damages, or liabilities arising from the Minor’s participation in transportation services, except where caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct by CallMeDD Inc.

CallMeDD Inc. provides transportation only and does not provide supervision before pickup or after drop-off.

Parents or guardians are solely responsible for:

  • Ensuring the Minor arrives safely at the designated pickup location on time;

  • Ensuring the drop-off location is safe and appropriate; and

  • Ensuring a responsible party is available to receive the Minor where required.

Drivers are not responsible for escorting Minors into buildings or verifying the identity of receiving parties unless expressly agreed to in writing.

1.5 Conduct of Minor Passengers

Minors must:

  • Remain seated and wear seatbelts at all times;

  • Follow all driver instructions;

  • Refrain from disruptive, abusive, or unsafe behaviour.

CallMeDD Inc. reserves the right to suspend or terminate services for any Minor whose conduct compromises safety. Parents or guardians remain financially responsible for damages, cleaning fees, or delays caused by the Minor.

1.6 Emergency Medical Authorization

In the event of an emergency, the parent or legal guardian authorizes CallMeDD Inc. and its drivers to:

  • Contact emergency medical services;

  • Provide basic first aid within their level of training.

The parent or guardian acknowledges that CallMeDD Inc. personnel are not medical professionals and agrees to assume all costs associated with medical treatment.

1.7 Child Restraints & Special Needs

CallMeDD Inc. does not provide child safety seats, booster seats, or specialized supervision unless expressly stated in writing. Parents or guardians are responsible for ensuring the Minor meets legal seating requirements or for providing appropriate equipment.

All interactions between drivers and Minors are strictly professional. Drivers shall not:

  • Engage in physical contact except where required for immediate safety;

  • Communicate with Minors outside of trip-related purposes;

  • Take photographs, provide gifts, or engage in personal relationships.
